The diversified expertise of our ICC certified inspectors enables them to perform compaction testing, welding procedures and qualifications, high strength bolt inspections, asphalt testing and inspection, concrete testing and inspection, pre‐stressed concrete inspection, fireproofing inspection, structural steel, welding, non‐destructive testing and ultrasonic inspection. It is our obligation to obtain certification for each testing and inspection service we perform. In general, all procedures follow the national and local standards such as ASTM, CBC, IBC, DSA, AWS, ASNT, California DOT, OSPHD, and AASHTO.

Geotechnical Engineering

At DC Inspections, we provide creative and thorough design and recommendations provided with a personal level of service. We provide an expansive combination of Geotechnical Engineering services. Those capabilities are paralleled by our full-service AASHTO Certified Laboratory. Elements of a geotechnical project might include the assessment of site preparation needs, and earthwork activities, identification of applicable foundation systems, cut or fill slope stability, pavement section design, or excavation support requirements. Subsurface explorations are conducted for K-12 schools, healthcare facilities, low and high-rise buildings, distribution centers, airports, highways, bridges, industrial plants, water supply and sewage treatment facilities, power plants and many other construction projects.

DC Inspection provides systematic testing and inspection services to assure materials utilized during construction meet project specifications and sustainability goals. We provide testing and inspection services during construction of foundations, K-12 schools, healthcare facilities, low and high-rise buildings, distribution centers, airports, highways, bridges, industrial plants, water supply and sewage treatment facilities, power plants and many other construction projects. DC Inspections works with architects, engineers, owners, general contractors and participants throughout each phase of the project – from feasibility planning to construction, fabrication and post-construction operations. Our services can save significant money by preventing change orders during construction and reducing future maintenance and repair costs. These services may be conducted in the laboratory, fabricating plant or at your construction site. DC Inspection services include testing and observation of: soil moisture and soil densities during fill placement and other earthwork; concrete testing, concrete strength and reinforcing steel placement; masonry CMU, grout, mortar, reinforcing and placement monitoring; pre-and post-tension placement and inspection; structural steel fabrication, erection and welding inspection, paving - concrete, base and soil stabilization; paint and fireproofing inspections.

Laboratory Services

When your construction project cannot afford even the slightest discrepancy in quality, you need a firm that delivers on time observation, accurate test results, and cost effective recommendations during the pre-construction and construction stage of your project. DC Inspections delivers quality and the most current and advanced level reporting and delivery systems. We provide the support you need to make timely and cost-effective decisions.

Our lab is Cal-Trans, AMRL, CCRL, and NICET certified and specializes in:
  • Asphalt Concrete Pavement Marshall / Hveem mix design & characteristics
  • Masonry Mortar, Grout, Block and Brick Testing, quality control

  • Soil compaction testing
  • Pre-construction analysis and soil mechanics
  • Steel material identification and physical testing
  • Aggregate qualification for Portland Cement Concrete Strength testing.

DC Inspections maintains fully equipped, mobile, field laboratories for remote projects and when immediate field test results are critical.
